Vegetable-tanned leather gorget decorated with a pagan-inspired stag skull pattern. Entirely handmade, it is lined with wadding and suede and is extremely comfortable to wear, even over long periods.
Leather gorget, decorated with a pagan-inspired motif representing a deer skull intertwined with snakes and topped with a sun wheel.
It is made of high quality leather (vegetable tanned) of 3mm thick. The collar is 20cm (7.9 inches) in diameter, while the gorget is 40cm (15.7 inches) wide (from one shoulder to the other) and 50cm (20 inches) deep (from the torso to the back). It has, on each shoulder, two aged brass-colored rings to hang the shoulder guards (or pauldrons). The interior is lined with wadding and suede, ensuring comfortable wear even for long periods.
This gorget is made by hand in my workshop based in France, the creation process making each piece unique: the creation of this gorget requires a day and a half of work.
